At merri creek we saw a family of australian wood duck's (Chenonetta jubata) sheltering on the shore of the creek. There was 8 ducklings. There had been a lot of rain the last night so merri creek was quite strong and deeper than usual so when they wanted to cross over to the other side they swam into the creek and against the current (like a water treadmill) got into a formation and then let the creek puch them to the other side in a diagonal line. So cute!
