At Allard park today I noticed a pair of red rumped parrots (Psephotus haematonotus, male and female) hopping around on the oval and eating grass roots and seeds. on the photo with both of them the female is the one on the left and the male the one on the right. They where quietly 'talking' to each other using quiet squeaky chirps which where quite hard to hear over the rainbow lorikeets louder chirping. They then flew off into a nearby gum tree.
